I have heard more of Ryan Sidwell’s antics... he just seems to be completely unprofessional in everything that he does. He arrives at jobs dirty and stinking of booze, he rarely completes the work he is asked to do and if he does it needs to be redone most of the time and he uses every possible excuse to try and overcharge.
I haven’t heard of one single job that hasn’t ended in fiasco for the people involved and yet he still seems to be in business. Spread the word; don’t use Ryan Sidwell if it can be at all avoided. He works in the Slough area as a plumber but will undoubtedly cause you more problems than he will solve.
The latest story that I heard involved Ryan Sidwell ripping off an elderly lady and leaving her without heating, disgusting behaviour at any time but particularly in this cold winter. I hope you’d agree. So this is a plea to everyone out there that comes across him... Please don’t employ Ryan Sidwell to do any work for you.

Shoddy workmanship of Ryan Sidwell
A friend of mine used Ryan Sidwell as a plumber and had to get someone in afterwards to redo his work as it was a complete disgrace. She called him out as an emergency to fix her boiler and the work he did was completely shambolic! He seemed to have fixed the problem and the heating came on but after less than an hour the boiler had cut out again and wouldn’t reignite. She called Ryan Sidwell back but there was no reply, it seemed that he had taken her money and run. She had to call a new plumber to come out who fixed the problem but said that the work that Ryan Sidwell had done was extremely poor and potentially very dangerous.
Ryan Sidwell is a rip off and could put you in danger with his shoddy workmanship - do not use him!

Why does Ryan Sidwell feel the need to overcharge?
A friend of mine has experienced Ryan Sidwell’s shoddy work as well; unfortunately I’d mentioned his name before he started ‘work’ and she engaged him to help her with installing a boiler. Big mistake!
To be fair, he did the work. BUT, the time he took to do it was ridiculous, his initial quote was very reasonable and he said it would probably take a couple of days to do... All sounded good in theory but he didn’t take a couple of days, he took the best part of two weeks; leaving the family with no hot water or heating. Following his initial quote, when he had completed the work he charged them for the two weeks work on top of his original quote. Just to make sure that she wasn’t mistaken she spoke to another plumber separately and he confirmed that the work shouldn’t take nearly as long as it did and that the price he’d said was ridiculous.

Ryan Sidwell - Rip Off Plumber
NEVER use Ryan Sidwell! I was fooled by his charm and supposed expertise in plumbing and employed him to connect up my new kitchen appliances (which, as far as I’m aware should be fairly simple tasks for an experienced plumber). I found his details in the phone book and he had quite a respectable advert and sounded fine on the phone so we arranged that he would come round and do the work...
First of all he didn’t show up on the day he said he was coming and so I stayed at home all day for nothing. Then when he did turn up, he smelt of booze and cigarettes and generally looked a mess and very unprofessional. The job was really very simple, to plumb in a dishwasher and washing machine which for a plumber should not be a big job at all I wouldn’t imagine. Ryan Sidwell however, seemed to make a complete mess of it! He took two days doing the work that he had initially said would take him a couple of hours and because of the change in length of time the work took he increased the bill accordingly and rather than asking me to pay for two hours work (as quoted) wanted me to pay for two days! Initially I refused but then I paid him some of it just to get rid of him.
